All about avid technology informationThe Magic Auricular Pain Treatment Protocol
Posted on October 17, 2011I have written in previous articles about the power of treating holographic micro-systems, such as ear, hand and facial regions . Each of these contains a map of the rest of the body. There is two-way communication between micro-system points and their corresponding body parts. Stress and dysfunction in the Liver, for example, can show up on the face through deep vertical lines on the brow (Liver area) or through discolorations in the Liver point of the ears.
My previous article referenced in the first footnote below describes the Auricular Micro-Macro technique I developed for rapid pain relief treatments using microcurrent or microlight therapies. This method involves creating a polarized electrical circuit between a painful or dysfunctional body point (using + polarity) and the ear point corresponding to that body area (using – polarity). For example, for stomach pain the + probe could be placed in the center of the painful area of the abdomen, and the – probe touched to the Stomach point of the ear. The addition of color light to the treatment can create additional positive resonance with the Organ or meridian, a factor that usually amplifies results.
This current article describes several additional steps for the Micro-Macro method that can augment and prolong results even more. I have found that multi-step protocols for pain relief and Organ balancing are usually far more effective than administering single techniques. The following steps require the use of a microcurrent or microlight deivce with fixed polarity probe outputs available. A small auricular treatment tip will also need to be used with the probe treating the auricular points.
The principles of treatment described here can also be applied through needle acupuncture or magnet therapies, although I have found the best results using microcurrent therapy. Why is this? Electronics can produce three vital treatment benefits that needles cannot do, or at least do well. These are: polarization of a set of treatment points, ability to set specific resonant frequencies, and the addition of color light input into the points. Each of these factors has the potential to amplify results several fold, and in many cases reduce treatment times necessary for positive results .
To perform the techniques described below, set your device to the following parameters:
Current Intensity: 25 – 50 ?A (lower level if 50 stings the ear)
Frequency: 10 or 2.5 Hz (or you can set custom frequencies for the parts of the body to be treated)
Polarity: Use polarized output – so that ear probe is -, body probe is +
Timer: Set for 12 seconds per button push
Modulation (if available): 2:1 ratio
Color Light: If available, use Blue or Purple for pain, or other colors as needed for organic dysfunction .
Assemble small auricular probe tip to the negative polarity probe for treating ear points. Keep this tip moist by dipping in water, and then shaking off excess, before treating each point.
Step One: Place counter probe (+) on affected part of the body, on the most painful spot. For example, for pain in the shoulder, place the cotton tipped counterprobe on the most painful shoulder point. You may ask the patient to hold the counterprobe in place for ease, to free up both of your hands for treating the ear points. Use the trigger probe to treat 2 3 Master points in the ear on the same side of the body as the pain, choosing from Shenmen, Zero, Thalamus, Sympathetic, or Endocrine (see following diagram). Treat each Master point for 12 to 30 seconds. If the pain is midline or bilateral, you may treat both ears, or just choose the dominant side of the body. It is also recommended to treat the Zero point in both ears in any case.
For organic problems, you can place the + probe on Mu-Alarm points on the body, and the – probe on the corresponding Organ point in the ear.
Step Two: In the same ear used in Step One, choose and treat the ear point that anatomically corresponds to the painful part. For example, for shoulder pain, treat the Shoulder ear point on the same side. Use the searching function of the probe to locate the exact point. Treat for 12 20 seconds while the patient is mobilizing the affected body part (if possible).
Step Three: In the same ear, treat one related point, either a meridian or dermatome point, as follows:
1) Meridian Point (for deep pain) Determine which principal meridian runs through the painful body area, and treat the ear point named after it. If the pain is clearly along the Large Intestine meridian of the shoulder, for example, treat the Large Intestine point of the ear. If it is along the Kidney meridian, treat the Kidney point of the ear. You can also choose these points based on underlying energetic imbalances, if you understand what those are.
2) Dermatome Point (for radiating or neuropathic pain) Draw imaginary lines from the Zero point of the ear (in the center of the ear, on the helix root), through the spinal segments on the anthelix that correspond to the nerve root(s) of the dermatomes where the pain is. In the band from the Zero point, through the spinal root out to the edge of the ear, search for “hot” spots through palpation with a small stylus and treat.
This is an especially valuable treatment for shingles, post-herpetic neuralgia, neuropathy or other neurogenic pain conditions. For an example of use, if a patient presents with shingles pain on the T2 – T10 rib areas, those will correspond to the black points on the anthelix shown on the following diagram. Imagine lines radiating from the Zero point out through the borders of this area of the anthelix, projecting out to the edge of the ear helix. The triangular “pie slice” area deliniated is the area to search through palpation for the hot spots. Once located, treat them as indicated above. Violet light is indicated for neurogenic pain in many cases.
If the pain is not satisfactorily relieved, you can try changing the trigger probe polarity to + for more cooling effect in steps Two and Three. The polarity used in the instructions above will work in most other cases, however.
One final tip to close the deal on the pain – try having the patient exercise or stretch the affected body area, if possible, while you are performing these auricular techniques.
Following the above procedures will make the pain “magically” melt away in most cases.

The Caregiver Needs Caregiving – A Nurse’s Cry
Posted on September 08, 2011I have worked in the field of nursing for over twenty years. I have been an R.N. (a real nurse). I never heard that phrase until I began working in the hospital setting. Actually, it was an L.P.N. (Licensed Practical Nurse) who referred to R.N.’s as the “real nurses.” Well, if my memory serves me correctly, when I was a graduate nurse working at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, New Jersey back in 1984, it was the L.P.N.’s who showed me the ropes of how to be a “real nurse.” But that was years ago, over twenty to be exact. I am certainly no longer a graduate nurse, but I have graduated to the growing number of nurses suffering from burnout. Too many days of not enough nurses. Too many demands
for turkey sandwiches and ice water . . . when you haven’t even medicated a post-op patient. I have learned that the turkey sandwich and ice water mean ever bit as much to an incapacitated patient than the pain medication that needs to be administered. So, you take a good look around to find “someone” to help you. There is no one. YOU are it.
YOU are it day after day, shift after shift. Your eight hour shift turns into a nine or ten hour shift. Your twelve hour shift . . . well we won’t even go there. On second thought, I will go there. A twelve hour turns into a fourteen hour shift. I must ask, “Who works like this?” I mean steady working. Sometimes no breaks that is, unless you are a smoker (no offense smokers). Somehow smokers find the time
that non smokers can’t seem to find to leave a floor for fifteen minutes or so every hour and a half. I used to get upset but I don’t even get upset any more. It is how they cope. I seriously thought about taking up the nasty habit just so I could escape like the smokers, but I value my lungs far too much. So, I don’t pay it any more attention when nurses leave, dragging on their Winston’s (if they still make
them . . . I wouldn’t know as a non-smoker).
A great friend of mine, who I met when I was a home health nurse, got to the point where
she didn’t want to go to work any longer. She dreaded work. I used to think, “Poor thing.” Well, at the time, I didn’t know I was next in line to becoming the “poor thing.”
Burnout happens slowly but when the final stage of it appears, it smacks you in the face and knocks you down flat. You become like a child who screams, “I don’t want to go to school!” (but in your case it is work) Unlike the child, you have responsibilities and many of them. You can’t just shut down.
But, there is something greater than responsibility that hollers out, “If you don’t stop, you are going to really lose it, and I mean lose it.” Before the end of burnout comes around, you begin to get the dreads. You literally dread going to work. Look it up in Websters: “a profound and deep-seated spiritual condition of insecurity and despair in the free human being.”.
Let one or ten more things compound this feeling of dreading your job and you are like a sinking ship. That is, unless you throw up your hands and say, “I need help.” “I really can’t do this any longer.” So, you call your work. You take a deep breath. “I can’t come in.” The “caregiver” needs care–desperately. They write your name as a no show for the next shift. The guilt sets in. At 5:15 the hospital staffing secretary calls to see if you are coming in that day. I learn about the 5:15 call when the 7:15 a.m. call comes. “Are you coming in?” “The floor (the unit where I would have been assigned for that day) is looking for you.” There has definitely been a lapse in communication. The pit in my stomach has intensified.
I was awakened by their call for help. It was obvious that my plea was totally disregarded. I call again later in the morning. This time, I speak to a nurse who I think may understand. I explain to her that today is my anniversary, my husband is 1000 miles away asking for a divorce, I have a fourteen year old who every word out of her mouth is, “Can you?”, I have a home in Florida that I left to the tenant who has also placed many demands on me, I have daughter who is working on her Master’s Degree and who works full time in Child Protective Services who recently had called to tell me she is pregnant, and THEN, there is the hospital calling me at the but crack of dawn after I had already explained to them that the candle is no longer burning. Nobody knows the effort it has been taking for me to do simple things like go grocery shopping, take my daughter to school after she has missed the bus, or just sitting down to pay the bills.
I decide to take control of this situation before it does any further damage. I have to be make myself more important that my job at this point because if I don’t take care of myself, I can see that no one else will. I tell the nurse that I won’t be coming in today, or tonight (I had scheduled myself 7 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., take an 8 hour break then come back 11 p.m. – 7-3:30 a.m. (all so I can get the hours in so I have more time off)). I tell them I probably won’t be coming in for a twelve hour shift on Thursday either. I schedule an appointment with an Employee Assistance Counselor . . . but I can’t go in until Tuesday, which is seven days away. I asked the nurse/receptionist, “What am I supposed to do until then?” Her suggestion was this, “Get up in the morning and put your uniform on and just do it.” I stuffed the scream and calmly said to her, “I have been doing that for a few months now. Getting up and doing it all over again and again. I am beyond that. I can no longer get up and put my uniform on. I want to keep my pajamas on and do nothing. I want to sit and watch a comedy on television, maybe eat a bon bon or two. ANYTHING, but put a uniform on and go in to take care of five, six or seven needy patients with no nurses aide or patient care tech to help me.
I will go back. But, I will get well first. There is an old adage, physician heal thyself. Well, this is nurse heal thyself. I will get the help I need. A Chaplain at the hospital suggested that I check into a local Holiday Inn (by myself, of course), take a bubble bath and meditate on the Lord’s words that He would comfort me and protect me from all harm. He told me that I could rest on the assurance that the Lord knows what I am going through and that He would help me through it.
I will be o.k. I have always been o.k. But burnout sure is scary when it happens. The initial phase is worthy of your attention. When you dread ANYTHING, pay attention. Dread isn’t normal. Dread will kill your spirit and take your physical body along with it. If any of this sounds familiar, whatever your profession or job, don’t be afraid to ask for help. No amount of money is worth your mind. Your mind is your most valuable asset God has given you. Make arrangements with work. ASK for others to help you. People care about you more than you might think. If you don’t have the time off, ask creditors to work with you. Tell them exactly what is going on. You will be surprised at the response. Everyone needs a nurse at some point in their lives . . so it is to their benefit to help you so YOU can help them.
Sincerely, Miriam Susong, R.N.

Strictly Come Slouching
Posted on August 01, 2011With the autumn nights drawing in and Strictly Come Dancing on every weekend, the nation is gearing up to a series of Saturday nights slouched in front of the box.
From now until Christmas, there is an onslaught of weekend entertainment programmes and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA) is warning that we could all be ‘Strictly Come Aching’ as a result.
Research highlights that 28% of the population already spend over 15 hours seated per day Monday to Friday. But for the next three months avid viewers of X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing could spend the equivalent of an extra two days on the sofa watching Simon Cowell and Len Wiseman put contestants through their paces.
Poor posture is one of the biggest causes of back pain, and figures continue to rise, with 32% of the nation currently suffering from back pain and 62% having suffered. This additional inactivity on top of our already sedentary lifestyles means we could be in for a serious case of the Slouch Factor.
Tim Hutchful from the British Chiropractic Association warns: “As a nation we clearly like to sit down and whilst resting is good for our bodies there is almost twice as much pressure on your back when you are sitting incorrectly than there is if you stand up. Sitting for prolonged periods of time as inactivity coupled with incorrect posture lays us open to back pain.”
The British Chiropractic Association has some simple pointers to enjoy Saturday nights in front of the TV safely:
• Sit up! Sit in chairs that provide full support for your spine and make sure your shoulders, hips and knees face the same direction.
• Stand up! Avoid sitting in the same position for more than 40 minutes, less if possible. When you do take a break, walk around and stretch a little.
• Exercise! Compensate for inactivity during the ad breaks by doing some light exercise – anything to loosen your muscles. Using something like the Straighten Up UK exercises would be ideal.

Gakic by Muscletech Review – Is it a Viable Muscle Building Supplement?
Posted on June 17, 2011Weightlifting is a great way to exercise, look good for yourself, and build confidence. After all, I have been doing it for many years. Let’s be honest, we all to be admired for all of our hard work. Like many people that participate in weightlifting, we are usually looking for a dietary supplement that will make life a little easier towards achieving our goal, whatever it may be.
Many people who are avid about weightlifting are fairly familiar with Muscletech, who have sold some pretty effective supplements in the past. MuscleTech is a brand of sports nutrition supplements that are marketed by Iovate Health Sciences Incorporated. Muscletech has a great reputation for conducting extensive research on the products that they create to support their claims. One of the most newest and recent supplements on the market is Gakic.
?
What Is Gakic?
Gakic was designed for those who want to be able to see muscular gains while not being able to feel tired. One of the main reasons why so many weight lifters feel fatigued or experience muscle failure, is because of the toxins that are produced in our bodies from the extensive workout routines that we put our muscles through to make them bigger and stronger. Among these toxins, ammonia and lactic acid are the main ones that cause fatigue, makes our muscles less productive, which of course sends us to the locker room in disappointment about our progress that forever taunts us in our workout journals.
?
How does It Work?
Gakic was created to neutralize these toxins, assists to maintain focus and provide muscles with 10 percent more muscle strength. The active ingredient in Gakic is glycine-l-arginine-alpha-ketoisocaproic acid calcium. This compound removes the traces of ammonia and acidic toxins in your muscle cells. The acid when entering the body is converted to leucine that carries out the function above as well as glycine and arginine which then are responsible for moving the removed Ammonia through the uric acid system to be eliminated from the body.
?
When these fatigue toxins are eliminated, it will allow for more weight to be lifted and for longer periods of time before your muscles actually tire. If more weight can be lifted, your muscles will grow bigger, faster.? It is directed that Gakic be taken in powder or pill formula and one take it about 30 minutes before working out. Gakic is released into the blood system within 15 minutes, so it begins to take effect almost instantaneously.?
?
Gakic is intended as a bodybuilding supplement.? However, a lot of athletes who play football, hockey and basketball are becoming familiar with the product because it remains active in one’s system for several hours. On training days, take one scoop of Gakic (in powder form) every 24 hours. In the pill form, eight pills are directed to be taken 30 minutes before training.? Since Gakic is very potent and will outlast the most intense of workout, it is recommended that it only gets taken on those days.? There are 16 servings in a container (pill and powdered forms), so if one trains every four days, there should be at least a month’s supply.??
In conclusion, I have been very impressed with Gakic.? I can literally tell the difference when I am training because I began to notice that I can do more repetitions and I can push more weight without my muscles failing.? In my opinion, Gakic is an excellent product, not just bodybuilders, but for all athletes as well.? Looks like MuscleTech has done it again.

Home Water Treatment Systems Produce Great Tasting and Healthy Water – It’s As Simple As That
Posted on April 25, 2011In spite of the hype created by expensive, splashy bottled water ad campaigns, home water treatment systems indubitably produce higher quality, better tasting and lower cost water in the most convenient way. In fact, according to the U.S. FDA, “Companies that market bottles water as being safer than tap water are defrauding the American public.” That seems pretty straightforward to me.
This is not to say that tap water is safe. Far from it. Ralph Nader Research Institute studies show that U.S. drinking water contains more than 2000 toxic chemicals that can cause cancer. Wow! Our bodies are mostly water, our brain is more than 75%water and our liver, the place that detoxifies our blood is 96% water. We must have it. And we must have it often and in large quantities.
Certified water treatment products are available to take care of our critical need for clean, pure, chlorine free water. The best are easily installed by any plumber with quick, simple filter arrangements and lifetime guarantees. After you see and feel the benefits that come from higher quality and higher quantities of clean water in your house, you will never go back to municipal water that may be the source of so many harmful substances.
Water plays a vital role in all metabolic processes. It is a key to brain and nerve function. We can do nothing without a constant supply or good water. Home water treatment systems are the best solution to the problem of maintaining an adequate stream for our household needs.
Additionally, the supply is under our control and not subject to municipal budget or staffing crises. That is a great relief. We all have quite enough anxiety in our lives without wondering about the safety of the water we provide for ourselves and our families.
Children are especially vulnerable to the water they ingest. Their systems are not able to detoxify the harmful elements in the food, air and environment as well as adults can. So their water detoxification must be a primary concern.
The causes of tap water contamination are numerous. Agricultural runoff, improper use of household chemicals and storm sewer backups are just a few potential areas of concern. Home water treatment systems take the bad junk out of your water and leave clear, pure healthy water to drink, cook with or shower in. This will protect those you care for and about from the fact that all water is recycled. There is no new water after all. Every chemical we use in our society will eventually wind up in our water. Take care of your water supply and be assured that harmful toxins are managed properly.
We must drink more water; that is a fact. Municipal water treatment typically does not remove synthetic organic chemicals; that is also a fact. Only water treatment products for use in your own home will do the job you need it to do each and every day. Fact. Not hype. Get one and taste the difference.

Five Week 1 Pregnancy Symptoms
Posted on March 04, 2011Pregnancy can be a beautiful time in a woman’s life but finding about pregnancy first can be a difficult task. There are many telltale signs that one can observe and these week 1 pregnancy symptoms can tell you whether you are pregnant or not. While no single week 1 pregnancy symptom is a sure sign of pregnancy, if you experience all or some of them, then its time to consult the doctor and start preparing for the pregnancy. Here are the top five week 1 pregnancy symptoms that you can observe yourself.
1. Missing a Period- This is one of the most common signs of being pregnant but there can be several other reasons for missing a period too. If you are under stress, ill or have recently stopped using a contraceptive pill, then you might be missing a period because of these reasons. Many times weight fluctuations can also cause missing of a period. The arrival of period varies in women and if you’ve missed a period you should look at other week 1 pregnancy symptoms too.
2. Implantation Bleeding- This is also known as vaginal spotting and it takes place when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the walls of the uterus. Implantation bleeding can be differentiated from normal vaginal bleeding as it is light in color as compared to dark colored bleeding. There is also an increase in vaginal discharge which can tell you that you are pregnant. You might also experience slight cramping pain.
3. Frequent Urination- Frequent urination is a common sign of being pregnant. As the walls of the uterus enlarge to make space for the fetus, the bladder is pushed and you might feel the need to urinate at small intervals. The stretching of ligaments and hormonal changes might also induce frequent urination.
4. Tenderness in Breasts- The breasts might feel tender in the early stages of pregnancy and this can also be a week 1 pregnancy symptom. The breasts become more sensitive and also get large in size as the body prepares for breastfeeding. Breasts might also hurt because of hormonal changes in the body.
5. Nausea and Vomiting- Morning sickness can be felt as soon as first or second week of pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting accompanied by a feeling of fatigue are common symptoms in the first week of pregnancy.
If you find all these week 1 pregnancy symptoms and cramps pregnant symptoms then consult a doctor at the earliest for a pregnancy test. If you are looking for more information about pregnancy and week 1 pregnancy symptoms then please visit the Pregnancy Resource Center at InfoZooms for articles on various topics related to pregnancy.

Personal Totally Tranquil Reviews
Posted on February 02, 2011There are many products available which claim to help you destress and unwind from your day, though many are nothing more than hype. However, as I discovered whilst reading through some Totally Tranquil reviews, there are some which are far more effective.
With Totally Tranquil from the team at Holothink, proven Neuro-technological advances have been incorporated to create an audio program. At the first time of listening, it seems nothing more than a rather pleasant, relaxing meditation track. However, reading up on the tech, what your brain is actually hearing is something far more than you realize.
Audibly, you hear pleasant sounds, tones and sensations. However; on a different level your brain is picking up signals on differing frequencies. Think of it as something akin to how a dog whistle works; when we blow such a device; no sound is produced, however, blow it near a your hound and you’ll see somewhat of a different reaction! The human brain works in much the same way; picking up on sounds that we otherwise “cannot” hear.
What is clever about these frequencies; is they can change how the brain works. This isn’t to say that we are all ready to be rendered mindless idiots, it is more a way of saying to your brain, “Hey buddy, slow down a minute; take some time out.”
A lot of self help CDs of this nature tend to have some sort of therapist leading you into a relaxed state. Totally Tranquil doesn’t; relying only on the sounds and tones to relax you. As a result, you can completely drift away knowing that you won’t miss an important instruction. Far more relaxing I’m sure you’ll agree.
It is not an expensive program either, costing between forty and fifty dollars in most places. Whilst this obviously does not offer any assurances of success, it could be affordable to many and the two month money back guarantee will offer some assurance that Holothink believe in their product. But before spending your hard earned, this Totally Tranquil Reviews suggests trying their 10 minute free trial to test drive the product for yourself in the first instance.
